Lacoste celebrates its 80th Anniversary at Addict Miami, with Special Guest Britto in Benefit of Best Buddies

Britto at Addict Miami for Lacoste 80thIn celebration of its 80th Anniversary, Lacoste hosted an exclusive cocktail party held at Addict, the fashion sneaker destination at Bal Harbor Shops. Guest had the opportunity to mingle with renowned artist, Romero Britto, and have a chance to bid on Lacoste shoes hand painted by Britto, all while enjoying croctails, canapés and sounds by DJ Salin G and gift bags brimming with goodies. Anthony Kennedy Shriver, founder of Best Buddies International, and Dave Grange, Lacoste Footwear President of North America at Addict also joined the celebration.

To commend the iconic brands 80 year mark, Lacoste  unveiled an exclusive 80th anniversary collection, offering a limited edition heritage style, the Rene Lacoste OG. The original René Lacoste tennis shoe was designed by the brand founder, otherwise known as “The Crocodile” in 1963. The classic silhouette has been recreated to the original specifications such as the pioneering color and authentic herringbone print. In addition to the original style being available for purchase at Addict, the silhouettes will be hand painted by Romero Britto, and available for auction at the event with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit Best Buddies.

Romero Britto is an internationally recognized artist, with artwork found in fine art galleries, museums, private art collections, public installations and corporate commissions across five continents.
